Our Values

We're all about Jesus. You won't be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. And we don't care how you're dressed or what candidate you voted for. Our church is made up of imperfect people with every kind of story imaginable.

Want to know the best part? No matter what you've been through or what questions you might have about God and faith, our church is a place where you'll find the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.

Following Jesus

Jesus invited people to “follow me” (Mark 1:17; John 1:43 and 21:19). We are committed to learning, practicing, and following in the way of Jesus, and inviting others to follow Jesus, too, especially in small groups.

Kingdom of God

Jesus came proclaiming the kingdom of God is near (Mark 1:15). We are committed to proclaiming, enacting, and embodying the kingdom of God.

People Matter to God

God loves all people. We are committed to passionately loving all people (Luke 15).

Community

God made us in his image (Genesis 1:27) and God exists in the perfect community of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are committed to exist in the context of deep, meaningful relationships. The early church gave us an example of what it looks like to exist in this communal fellowship (Acts 2:42-47). Furthermore, God made us one people—we are all clergy in the true sense of that word – gifted, commissioned, and appointed by God for his mission in the world (1 Peter 2:9 and Galatians 3:27-28).

Incarnational Ministry

In Jesus, God became one of us to be in relationship with us (John 1:14). Incarnation means that God is willing to work within the bounds of a particular culture. We are committed to enter into culture with all its sinfulness and restraints and be Christ to our neighbors (Philippians 2:1-8; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23).

Creativity and Beauty

God created us in his image, the imago dei. Thus we are designed to be like him. We are committed to creativity and imagination because God created first (Genesis 1). Furthermore, we are committed to beauty because the world longs for beauty and it glorifies God.

Grace

C.S. Lewis once walked into a discussion about Christianity’s greatest and most unique contribution to the world. He quickly said the answer is grace. We are committed to proclaim and embody God’s grace in the world to all humanity (Romans 5:15; Exodus 33:19; 34:6-7; Numbers 6:22-27).

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • God

God, who is one, is revealed in three distinct persons.

  • Jesus

We believe in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ. God became human in Jesus whose life, death and resurrection demonstrate God's redeeming love.

  • The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God's present activity in our midst. When we sense God's leading, God's challenge, or God's support or comfort, it's the Holy Spirit at work.

  • Human Beings

Genesis 1:27 asserts that we've been made in the image of the Creator. Like God we have the capacity to love and care, to communicate, and to create.

  • The Church

The Church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ's life and ministry in the world today.

  • The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the primary authority for our faith and practice.

  • God’s Reign

The kingdom or reign of God is both a present reality and future hope.
